Waukesha JanBoree is a winter fun festival held annually in Waukesha. This year the festival is celebrating 35 years of fun for 10 days, January 17-26, 2020 at various locations throughout the Waukesha area. Waukesha JanBoree 2020 has games, music, sledding, ice skating, beer gardens and family-friendly entertainment. There are lots of surprises and many opportunities for audience participation including these highlighted events.
Opening Weekend Highlights: January 17-19

Friday. January 17
Travel the World of Laughter features Miller & Mike, former Ringling Bros. Circus clowns and good clean comedy. Seating is limited. Free tickets for the 30 minute shows (at 5:45 and 7pm) are available now. Show will take place at the Waukesha North High School across the street from Lowell Park.
JanBoree Beer Garden at Lowell Park. The Beer Garden is within a heated tent featuring Raised Grain Brewery beer on tap, live music and fun on Fri. from 5-9pm.
Imagination Take Flight Balloon Glow. Don’t miss the beautifully tethered balloons aglow at Lowel Park from 5:30-7pm.
Fireworks Extravaganza at Lowell Park. If you enjoy fireworks, this is a great family-friendly show starting at 8pm with bigger fireworks to celebrate 35 years of Waukesha JanBoree.
Saturday, January 18
Make and Play Workshop at Whiterock Campus from 9:30-11am. All ages can crack and investigate geodes, decorate a spin drum, explore basket weaving and even create a jigsaw puzzle.
Sunday, January 19
Make a melting snowman cookie at Chef Pam’s Kitchen from 3-5pm.
Weekday Events: January 20-23
New this year to JanBoree are events throughout the week. Choose from footgolf, fitness, airport tours, and special movie or planetarium shows.
Closing Weekend Highlights: January 25-26
Finish up JanBoree 2020 with these closing weekend events and be sure to check the JanBoree website for weather updates on outdoor activities that require snow (many activities do not).
Saturday, January 25
Up, Up & Away Kids age 8-18 can take flight at Crites Field from 10am-2pm as well as opportunities to talk about aviation before with “coffee talk” starting at 8am.
Ice Sculpting Competition in Downtown Waukesha. Watch ice carvers create ice sculptures before your eyes from 10am-2pm at various locations.
Candlelight Hike & Beer Garden at Minooka Park. The beer garden opens at 3pm and the hike starts at 4pm.
Sunday, January 26
Taste your way with the Wisconsin Old Fashioned Mingle at Tofte’s Table featuring two specialty Old Fashions using only Wisconsin products and hors d’oeuvres.
