This time of year, pumpkin spice drinks are everywhere. While most of us enjoy the occasional pumpkin beverage, it is nice to find some variety. We reached out to our local businesses and found these fall drink specials that do not feature pumpkin in Waukesha Pewaukee. Try them out and let us know what you think.
Apple Delights from Thunder Bay Grille
Thunder Bay Grille has two fall cocktails to try. A Salted Caramel Martini (pictured in photo) with caramel vodka, apple cider, and caramel and a Cinnamon Apple Mule with infused cinnamon apple whiskey, apple cider, and ginger beer. Thunder Bay Grille is open Mon. – Sat. 11am-10pm and Sun. 10am-9pm.
Apple Wine at Pieper Porch Winery
Pieper Porch Winery has released two seasonal wines, Harvest Apple (Cinnamon Apple) and traditional Apple, available while supplies last. They are great chilled but also wonderful when warmed with some mulling spice. Pieper Porch Winery is open Friday-Sunday 11am-5pm with all tastings ending at 4:45pm.
The Brandied Apple & the Pear and Pink Peppercorn Drinks at Jake’s Restaurant
Jake’s Restaurant is featuring two new fall cocktails: the Brandied Apple and the Pear and Pink Peppercorn. The Brandied Apple has Korbel, homemade apple puree, apple cider and apple liquor garnished with cinnamon sugar and cinnamon stick. The Pear Peppercorn drink includes gin, St. Germaine Elderflower Liquor, pear nectar and is garnished with a dried pear and pink peppercorn. Jake’s is open Mon. 5-9pm, Tues.-Fri. 5:30-9:30pm and Sat. 5-9:30pm. Jake’s bar opens at 4:30 each day they are open.
House of Guinness Fall Drinks
House of Guinness is serving up three unique fall drinks, the first is the “Good Land Cosmopolitan” and features Smirnoff Vodka, Good Land Cranberry Liqueur, triple sec, lime and simple syrup. The combination of Cranberry and lime create a nice tart cocktail as the cool weather sneaks in.
The second is the “Scotsman on a Horse” which features Monkey Shoulder Scotch, Fernet-Branca, Orange, simple syrup, and Angostura bitters. This cocktail is in inspired by the South 2nd at the Noble, MKE.
The third fall cocktail is the “Tully Rose” featuring Tullamore Dew Cider Cask, Rose’s Grenadine, lemon and simple syrup. House of Guinness is open Sun. 9am-12am, Mon. – Thurs. 2pm-12am, Fri. 2pm-2am and Sat. 9am-2am.
Mama D’s Coffee Autumn Drinks
Mama D’s has autumn drink specials at each of its three locations. In Waukesha, try one of these four specials:
- Apple Cider
- Chaider–Apple Cider with sweet or spiced Chai
- Sweater Weather-a white mocha with hazelnut and a sprinkle of cinnamon
- Campfire Mocha-a mocha made with toasted marshmallow.
Mama D’s is open Mon. – Fri. 6am-4pm and Sat. – Sun. 7am-3pm. Currently, there is construction on Main Street so the best route to get to this location is to take Wisconsin Avenue to East Avenue and then turn right onto Arcadian Avenue and left onto Hartwell Avenue.
The Steaming Cup Buttery Options
The Steaming Cup has two buttery beverage options. The Peanut Butter Mocha-a dark chocolate mocha with nutty peanut butter in the drink plus drizzled in more peanut butter. Or try the Butter Beer Latte- (Harry Potter inspired) latte that is a toffee nut and caramel latte.
