Cantarito’s Restaurant, located at 408 E. Main St. in Waukesha, specializes in traditional Mexican dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Favorites include street tacos, burritos, and ceviche. Insider tip: try the guacamole made tableside. You’ll be so glad you did.

Feel like dancing? While enjoying generous portions of delicious Mexican cuisine, every Saturday, guests are entertained by DJ En Vivo playing music, including Top 40, Latin hits, reggaeton, Cumbria, and bachata.

DAILY DOSE JUICE BAR

The DAILY DOSE Juice Bar makes it convenient to eat healthy food. Offering cold-pressed juices, smoothies, smoothie bowls, coffee, toasts, and small bites, this juice bar is the perfect spot to meet friends and colleagues or treat the kids to a healthy snack or meal.

The health-focused café serves fresh and organic options and has many gluten-free, non-dairy, and vegan choices. Their products have no sugar, preservatives, pesticides, chemicals, or other additives.

MIA MYA'S BOUTIQUE

Mia Mya’s Boutique, located in downtown Waukesha at 116 W. Broadway St., opened in November 2024. The store’s mission is to inspire confidence through the power of personal style and offers a range of women’s fashion items.

GYRO HOUSE

Have a hankering for some authentic Greek cuisine? You’re in luck! The new Gyro House, owned and operated by a father and son duo, started welcoming guests in January.

The restaurant’s extensive menu includes delectable Greek options like beef and lamb gyros, pork and chicken souvlaki, and chicken, pork, steak, and sausage kebabs, making it really hard to choose what to order.

They also have appetizers like spanakopita and imported feta cheese. Offering something for everyone, guests can order from a selection of rice bowls, jumbo burgers, salads, soups, and desserts.

Gyro House is located at 2110 E. Moreland Blvd. in Waukesha and is open every day at 11 am. Can’t make it to dine in? No worries. The restaurant offers carryout and online ordering with delivery through DoorDash.

LET IT BE MUSIC CLUB

Let it Be is a club in Waukesha that is a tribute to The Beatles and an event venue. Since December 2024, the club has offered a nostalgic experience for Beatles fans and music lovers, bringing a unique option downtown for live music.

If you’ve been to Liverpool’s iconic Cavern Club, where The Beatles made their mark on the music world, Let It Be may trigger a sense of déjà vu. It was created with the same look and feel, offering guests a glimpse of the original spot.

There are a variety of musicians that perform on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Doors open at 5:00pm with a $10 per person cover charge depending on the band performing. Most musicians start at 7 pm.

Located at 716 Clinton St., Let It Be operates a full-service bar and plans on offering food soon.

SUNRISE ACAI BOWLS

Sunrise Acai Bowls is a woman-owned local small business that recently celebrated the grand opening of its brick-and-mortar shop on March 8, 2025. The restaurant is located at 821 Meadowbrook Rd. in the Meadowbrook Marketplace in Waukesha.

They offer more than 30 nutritious and delicious acai bowls made from super-fruit berries, topped with fresh fruits and granola. They also make healthy, gluten-free vegan options, like overnight oats, juices, parfaits, and smoothies.

Sunrise Acai Bowls is wildly popular at the Waukesha Farmer’s Market (which runs from May to October on Saturdays from 8:00 am to noon) and festivals around town. They also offer full-service catering for special events

LIGHTS OF SPRING

Spring is here (yay!), and Pewaukee has a new way for you to celebrate this much-anticipated season. Experience the magic of the Lights of Spring, a brand-new walk-through light show at The Ingleside Hotel.

From the makers of Country Christmas, the Lights of Spring is an illuminated experience like no other. Stroll through the .75-mile outdoor trail, take in the fresh air, and be mesmerized by animated creatures, vibrant spring displays, Easter lights, and stunning blooming flowers.

 Dates:

  • April 3-6, 10-13, 17-20, 24-27, 2025

 
Hours:

  • 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. The last admission ticket is sold at 8:00 pm.

 Prices:

  • $7 per person. Children 23 months and younger are free!

Earlier this year, Copilot Coffee moved to its new digs at 279 W. Main St., right in the heart of Waukesha’s Five Corners. AREPANITA'S LATIN FUSION CAFE

Arepanita’s Latin Fusion Cafe recently moved from 136 E. St. Paul Ave. to 804 Clinton Street in downtown Waukesha. The new location offers a vibrant and inviting atmosphere while incorporating the rich flavors of Venezuelan cuisine with other parts of the world.

 Some menu items include:

  • Traditional Venezuelan cornmeal cakes can be filled with all kinds of good stuff, like shredded beef, pork, steak, chicken, black beans, eggs, vegetables, or cheese.
  • Sandwich Cubano. A sandwich made with ham, roasted pork, Swiss cheese, pickles, mustard (and sometimes salami) on Cuban bread.
  • Sweet, fresh corn pancakes filled with savory ingredients, including queso fresco, fresh mozzarella, ham, chorizo, butter, cream cheese, and sour cream.

Arriving Soon in Waukesha Pewaukee

BREWFINITY BREWING CO.

Something exciting is brewing! In 2016, Brewfinity Brewing Co. launched a brewery and taproom in Oconomowoc, WI, and will open a second location in Pewaukee at 203 W. Wisconsin Ave. The VeloCity bicycle shop previously occupied the new spot right across from beautiful Pewaukee Beach.

Brewfinity will operate a one-barrel brewhouse at the site and offer a variety of beer and food, including smoked meats, such as brisket and pulled pork. The plan is for the taproom to be open daily from 11 am to 11 pm for lunch and dinner.

It’s not all about food and drink. Brewfinity will host activities like bags and dart leagues, trivia nights, and acoustic music sessions. Something unique to Brewfinity will be an indoor bocce ball court. The goal is to open in late spring or early summer and create a space where the community can connect, relax, and have fun.
