Channel the Flannel at Waukesha JanBoree 2022

Waukesha JanBoree is a winter fun festival held annually in Waukesha. This year the festival is celebrating 37 years of fun for 10 days -January 14-23, 2022 – at various locations throughout the Waukesha area. Waukesha JanBoree 2022 will offer fun for everyone with these event highlights.

Opening Weekend Highlights: January 14-16

Enjoy these events and activities planned for January 14-16 and find all events for opening weekend here.

Friday, January 14

  • Test your might at Lumberjack Camp with a challenge for handsaw and ax throwing, play broomball, ice sculpting demo and more.  Starts at 5pm
  • Flannel N’ Foam heated Beer Garden from 5-9pm featuring brews by Raised Grain Brewing Co.
  • Take the Timber slide down Lowell Hill (pre-registration required) from 5-7:45 pm
  • Fireworks Extravaganza at Lowell Park. If you enjoy fireworks, this is a great family-friendly show starting at 8pm.

Sunday, January 16

  • Take the Timber slide down Lowell Hill (pre-registration required) from 1-4pm

Weekday Events: January 14-21

JanBoree will be offering events throughout the week on January 14-21 Choose from a scavenger hunt, snow snake workshop, make and take workshops, and a Lumberjack Jaunt Glow Walk.

Saturday, January 22

  • Walk or run the Frosty 5K at Frame Park from 8-10 am. Registration required.
  • Watch the Ice Sculpting Competition in Downtown Waukesha. Watch ice carvers create ice sculptures before your eyes from 10am-2pm at various locations.
  • Enjoy many family-fun make and take opportunities at various locations as well as a penguin egg hunt,
  • Watch Alaskan Malamutes weight pull from 11 am – 3 pm or take a Sunset Candlelight Hike at Minooka Park (Picnic area 3) from 4 – 8 pm. Registration required.
  • Also at Minooka Park is the Bark & Brew Beer Garden from 4 – 8 pm featuring brews from Delafield Brewhouse.

Sunday, January 24

  • Enjoy the Timber Slide featuring toboggan time (reservations required), ice-skating and sledding at Lowell Park from 1-4pm.
  • Try a Fat Bike at Minooka Park Picnic Area #5 from 11 am – 3pm
  • The Wisconsin Philharmonic will be performing Prokofiev’s Peter & The Wolf starting at 1pm; kids 19 and under are free; adults $10.
