What’s New in ’22 in Waukesha Pewaukee



Within the last few months, a handful of new businesses have opened in the Waukesha Pewaukee area. Learn more about a new café, food marketplace, bistro, several shops and new things to do in our area.

Beach House Bistro Pewaukee Lake
The Beach House Bistro is a new small plates restaurant located on Wisconsin Avenue in Pewaukee, right across from Pewaukee beach/Lakefront Park. This new bistro is open for dinner and has a menu with a Mediterranean flare. Guests can choose from salad or grain bowls, charcuterie boards and small plates to share like Schawarma, soup, flatbread, street tacos, Falafel, baked feta and more.

The Beach House Bistro is located at 161 W. Wisconsin Avenue, Pewaukee and is open 4-9pm Tuesday – Thursday and 4-10pm Friday and Saturday. Visit thebeachhousebistro.com for more information.

Catrina Café
Catrina Café is a new Mexican coffee shop that offers delightful coffee drinks from traditional to Mexican specialty coffee drinks like Café de Olla, hot Chocolate Abuelita and Tres Leches. Additionally, they offer tea, fruit smoothies and conchas, churros, chocolate croissants and chocoflan cake.  Located at 118 W. Broadway Street in Waukesha (right next to Polished Patina), Catrina Café is open Monday – Saturday 6:30am – 6pm.

Marketplace at CPK
Chef Pam’s Kitchen is a local favorite for cooking classes and has expanded their business for local artisans to make and sell their food. The Marketplace at Chef Pam’s Kitchen opened on February 12. Featuring a variety of food from gluten-free cookies, jams, toffee, custards, truffles, Keto Soups/Stews, pizza kits and meals to go from A to Z Dinners, the selection changes every week. Chef Pam’s Kitchen offers a variety of cooking classes.

The Marketplace at Chef Pam’s Kitchen is located at 280 W. Main Street and is open Monday and Friday 2– 6pm, Saturday 1 – 5pm.

The Dollhouse Flowers & Gifts
The Dollhouse Flowers & Gifts opened in early February at 128 W. Broadway just a short walk from Catrina Café. The shop features floral arrangements including “forever” roses, a variety of floral arrangements, potted plants, succulents and crystals. The shop is open every day 10am – 6pm.

The Living Tree Christian Bookstore
In late 2021, the Living Tree Christian Bookstore opened. The shop features both English and Spanish books and gifts. Located at 260 W. Broadway (right down the street from the Guitar for Life Café), The Living Tree Christian Bookstore is open Tuesday -Thursday 10 am – 5 pm and Friday and Saturday from 10am – 7pm.

Lake Country Mercantile
Lake Country Mercantile, is a new home décor and gift shop that opened in Pewaukee in 2021. The shop features local vendors with soaps, jewelry, home décor and clothing. Located at 145 Park Ave., Pewaukee, (just down the street from Park Avenue Pizza Company) the shop is open Wednesday 12-4pm, Thursday and Friday 2 – 6pm and Saturday 10am – 2pm.

Sienna Moon
Sienna Moon opened in late 2021 and is a store for those looking to heal, transform and add a little glitter back into their life. They specialize in healing crystals, jewelry, high vibes and epic healing

Located at 213 W. Wisconsin Ave., Pewaukee (next to Velocity Cycling) the shop is open Tuesday – Saturday 10am – 6pm and Sunday 10am – 4pm.

Topaz Apothecary
Topaz Apothecary a shop that offers pathways to feeling good with beauty and body care, tea, prosperity bowls, crystals, jewelry and CBD. This store opened in late 2021 in what used to be Le Caffe Bistro.

This shop is located on S30 W24896 W. Sunset Drive in Waukesha (right near St. Vincent de Paul) and is open Monday – Thursday 12 – 7pm, Friday 10am -4pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am – 3pm.

Things to Do



BrewCade 
BrewCade Pub is a new pub and game place in Downtown Waukesha. Find over 50 retro and modern arcade games, as well as axe throwing, make this pub experience unlike any other in Waukesha! Dozens of craft beer selections, distinct drink options along with a fun twist on menu items, including Asian American inspired pizza, make this a unique way to end the day with a fun gathering, casually or competitively!

Solve Escape Rooms
A new escape room experience opened in December 2021 in Waukesha called Solve Escape Rooms. They currently offer a Capone’s Cabin escape room that takes you into a cabin that is rumored to have been a hangout of Al Capone and his crew. Solve the clues to escape the cabin and a donation will be made to the charity of your choice.

They are currently working on another escape room called “14 Floors Below” scheduled to open soon in ’22.

Located right down from Raised Grain Brewing Company at 1720 Dolphin Dr. Suite D in Waukesha, Solve is open Wednesday – Friday 1 – 8:30pm, Saturday 11 am – 9:30 pm and Sunday 1 – 8:30pm.

Urban Slopes
You can now experience the snow all year long at Urban Slopes in Pewaukee. This indoor ski and snowboard facility allows anyone from beginners to masters sharpen their skills on the slopes for ski season using snow sports simulators. You can train in your own boots or rent your own. Sessions are 30 minutes, broken into 15-minute segments with an experienced instructor to help you.
