Delicious Dining at Artisan 179

What could be better than indulging in creative cuisine, unique cocktails, and superior service? How about doing that with a gorgeous Pewaukee Lake view?

At Artisan 179, you will experience just that. Restaurant owners Carrie Boehm and Ted Anderson are driven by a passion for creating cuisine and cocktails with the freshest ingredients from local vendors. It’s more than a place to eat. It is a community of food and drink enthusiasts, artists, and musicians.

In fact, Artisan 179 has live music every Thursday through Saturday. When the weather warms up, musicians play on the patio, so guests inside and outside, as well as passersby, enjoy the vibe of a live performance.

To welcome summertime, Artisan 179 has created menu options to celebrate Wisconsin’s beauty and bounty. Whether you partake inside or dine al fresco, prepare to be impressed. Check out these irresistible choices.

FROM THE KITCHEN:

  • Pan-seared Asian dumplings made with a Heritage Berkshire pork mix and a Japanese Kyoto sauce.
  • Tempura cauliflower served with a soy ginger drizzle and Thai chili sauce.
  • Bone-in Heritage Berkshire pork chop with a lemon pepper rub and confit smashed potatoes, a chef-selected vegetable completed with Jack Daniel’s honey butter.
  • Chilean sea bass served with leek and potato puree, roasted purple beets, wilted spinach, Meyer lemon beurre blanc, and crispy leeks.

FROM THE BAR:

  • Liquid Intelligence. Tempt your fate and roll three dice. What you roll is what’s in your drink. Or tell your mixologist what you like, and they will craft a unique cocktail just for you.
  • Ron & Mary’s Brown Numbler. Artisan 179’s version of an old-fashioned is made with house-aged Bulleit Rye bourbon, fresh organic orange, a Luxardo cherry, brown sugar cube, bitters, and sweet soda.
  • Smoked blood orange Manhattan. This cocktail is smoked with cherry wood in front of the customer. It comes with fresh rosemary, thyme, sage, house-aged Bulleit Rye bourbon, sweet vermouth, blood orange simple syrup, and a Luxardo cherry.
